NYC
With the persistent rain, long ol' days at work and the rubbishness that is being stuck in football traffic, I've been daydreaming about running far, far away.
This series of photographs by Miki 357 is making me want to go all bright lights, big city in New York. I love that the images are of the everyday, an insider's view of the Big Apple without the noise, colour and distraction. Who wants to run away with me?
Have a look at Miki's other work on his website, anything that starts with a Venn diagram makes me happy, especially if it's in pastel colours!

Gold and Silver
I've been meaning to post about the very simple jewellery I wear on a day to day basis, but due to our shocking internet I haven't been able to. But, now we have super fast shiny new internet so expect a lot of new posts from me while I catch up!
I barely ever wear jewellery, I love the idea of it but I when I put it on, even if it is just a tiny gold bee or sausage dog necklace, I feel like I'm completely overdressed. I usually just stick to a simple silver ring on my right hand and a few silver studs in each ear, recently I've added in a little bit of gold in bracelet form from Share Jewellers. It's super simple with gold plated beads and a glittery stone ball, I actually prefer the little hallmark tag so tend to wear it that way round. I've posted about my ring before, when I'd only just got it but I still love it so thought I'd show it off again!
I'd really like to wear more jewellery, perhaps I'll have to start getting myself used to it with the odd gold sausage dog or beaded bracelet...

Somerset by Alice Temperley

I was lucky enough to have a sneak preview of the collection and instantly fell in love with most of it! Unfortunately due to our shocking internet connection, I haven't been able to post about it until now... But I've selected my favourite pieces from the collection, including an emerald green dress and a short lacy dress which I think is one of the most 'Temperley' pieces in the collection. The collection is made up of high quality basics in cute blouses and high waisted trousers to statement pieces like black silk jumpsuits.
The collection is currently available in John Lewis stores and online, I'd thoroughly recommend going to have a cheeky look!
