Underwear at The Editeur

I went for a little trip to the lovely city of Chester to visit a very special boutique, The Editeur. I'm a Cheshire girl at heart (I grew up in Nantwich if anyone's heard of it...) so it's always good to hear about new boutiques and designers based in Cheshire. The Editeur is a lovely boutique nestled in the City walls boasting some of the best names in fashion from Missoni to See by Chloe. The online version can be found here if you're nowhere near Chester or have never heard of it!

While I was there I picked up a cheeky underwear set by Elle Macpherson from their velvet draped lingerie section, I don't usually opt for the un-padded lacy numbers but it just looked so pretty! Unfortunately, it doesn't quite fit due to my large chesticular area, but where it did fit, it felt super soft and enhanced all my curvy bits! I couldn't help posting about it, it deserves it. I'm off to get the next size up as soon as possible!

Sponsored post: My Next pair of shoes

Every time I say 'I really need a new pair of shoes...' the boy rolls his eyes and points me in the direction of my second wardrobe full of shoes, the four pairs in the car and and the small collection next to our bed. He just doesn't understand, every shoe serves a different purpose, goes with a different outfit and sometimes suits your mood.

I've just seen Next's short film showcasing all their summer shoes and they definitely understand! From wedges making up Tetris to bright orange shoes rocketing off into space, little leopard print flats running after stilettos and the stars of the show, the glamorous shoes. Plus, I only just found out that if you order before 9pm you can get them the day after, that's what I'm talking about.

Brighten up your day with the little video below...

A little Panache...

Would you care to step out of my comfort zone with me? Not only do I tend to stick to almost exclusively black underwear, I also don't even own a bra without any padding whatsoever. Let me introduce you to Lucy by Cleo Panache, the bright yellow balconette bra which now resides in my underwear drawer.

I was a little scared when I first opened the package from Panache but also quite excited to step out of my comfort zone, I don't think I've ever owned anything bright yellow! I put it on expecting it to look clash with my rather pale skin tone (somebody get me to a beach please!) but it actually complimented it quite well! The fit wasn't quite right, I got a 32E, but there is definitely some overspill so if you're looking to get this bra I'd recommending going up a cup size to be on the safe side.

The set is really comfortable, I don't think it's one for every day wear but definitely one I'll be sporting again. It's also encouraged me to brighten up my undies, but I'll be taking it one pair of knickers at a time...

Here's a few of my favourite pieces from the high summer lookbook, I'm in love with the colourful pleats, neon tailoring and peplum details.

Robert Doisneau

Very few things are as good as vintage photographs stumbled upon late at night, but I'll tell you what's even better; vintage French photographs with plenty of dogs and inquisitive old men.

These images are by Robert Doisneau, one of France's most famous and well loved photographers. I love his quote: "The marvels of daily life are exciting; no movie director can arrange the unexpected that you find in the street."

Who is your favourite photographer?
