Edward Finney

I honestly can't remember how I stumbled upon Edward Finney's work but I am rather glad that I did. These images are from his A/W 10-11 collection which is also his first ever solo collection.

Prior to his debut line, he worked alongside Alexander McQueen and Galliano, the influence of both can be seen throughout his collection in a subtle, personal manner. I love the rich colours, heavy fabrics and sheer headpieces created by Finney and would love to see them in a crazy, winter wonderland editorial.

The origami like layers of organza create a hard edged yet strangely feminine look, perhaps a re-imagination of the bustle and underskirts of days gone by? Or just going crazy with fabric? I don't know, but I do know that I'm very much looking forward to seeing more from Edward Finney.

Visit his website for more details and to check out his fashion film which is a bit awesome.

My Ebay shop has been re-stocked, click here to visit. Happy Tuesday!
