First Uni project!

I am at home for the first time in two weeks! It's so comfy here, i do however miss my flatmates which is strange! I feel settled in already and now i'm missing the monumental turning on of the new fridge....
Anyyywaaayyy our first taster project was to 'promote our partner', we were assigned a partner and basically had to promote them....
My partner was obsessed with Gwen Stefani so i made her into a harajuku girl cartoon!

Everyone is nice here, i'm so much happier.
I miss my family etc a lot though, I just want the course to start properly.
There's only so much more fancy dress parties that i can take!

Scared, nervous, anxious, excited

Are all word that describe me! I move to university on Saturday and it's a very strange prospect. I'm half excited half nervy, I haven't even started packing ARGH!

I want to be there but i don't want to go...

In other news my boss at the restaurant loved my paintings, hoorah :]

I think they are nearly finished! I chose to do some soup as a lot of people eat it at the restaurant plus it's a nice colour!

I went to see this film today with my movaaa, it's based on a short story by Stephen King and you can definitely tell, We were both genuinely worried for John Cusack's safety!
Howeverrrr, the film was so much better when it focused on the fear of the unknown. When physical beings started to attack him, the film lost it's mystique. It was still bloody scary though, in the best way!
The plot was lacking, but the thrills along the way were very well thought out. Samuel L Jackson could have been used much more, that might just be because i think he's great though...

In other news I've started my mushroom painting, it's a bit strange at the moment though. I have another blank canvas, any thoughts on what to put on it? Needs to be food related as it's for a restaurant!

The weather is so boring today.
I just made a new necklace for my favourite customer Erika :]
I hope she likes it!

I also started a new project today! I'm a waitress in a local restaurant and the owner wanted some quirky paintings for the stairwell so she asked if i could do it, i've already done 3 and i'm starting another one today!
I've taken some photos and i think the painting will be from this one...

Birthday and birthday

It was my mum's birthday yesterday, i did extreme baking for it! I made spring rolls, sausage rolls, filo pastry things, cheese twists, little pizzas annnnnd a sachertorte. She had a lovely day but i was knackered!

Then it was one of my best friend's birthday today and we went out for a meal and then into town! Was a nice place and there was a chocolate fountain! Highly recommended!

Tonight i came home full of secrets, wishes and happy memories.

It was a strange night, ho hum.

Postsecret

My friend has been inspired by Postsecret [http://postsecret.blogspot.com/] a blog where people post in their secrets on postcards! I like it a lot. You can also get the books from amazon.
She has created an album on myspace where she, and friends have made their own.

I had a doodling time yesterday and today made the doodles into a brooch, hoorah!

I also made some more bird necklaces to go on Ebay, i like 10p listing day!

This is a nice, new and exciting prospect.
I attempted to keep a diary, albeit handwritten, when I was about 6. I think the documentation lasted until the day after my birthday, the day i received the diary...
Perhaps this will be more successful, I hope so.
